Cave Story Cheats:

Hidden Costumes Codes

Open the Title Screen to enter the following codes for the hidden costumes. If you success, there will a message saying “Press the A button to Begin”.

• Blue Costumes

- Hold B and press 1 2 1 2 1 1 1 UP

• Christmas Costumes

-  Hold B and press 1 2 1 2 1 1 1 2 2 LEFT

• Halloween Costume

- Hold B and press 1 2 1 2 1 1 1 2 2 + + – - RIGHT

• Red Costume

-  Hold  B and press 1 2 1 2 2

• Yellow Costume

-  Hold B and press 1 2 1 2 1 DOWN

Cave Story Hints:

Machine “Jet Pack”

When your machine gun already at Level 3, try to jump and aim it downward. You’ll float up just like using a “Jet Pack”.

Get Spur (The Strongets Weapon)

After you defeated Curly in the Sand Zone, DO NOT trading your Polar Star for the machine gun. Instead you can trade it for “Spur” (The strongest weapon in this game) later.

Cave Story Unlockables:

Alternate Endings

Perform the actions below to unlock different endings.

• “Normal” ending

-After the final boss, complete the escape sequence without going through the Sacred Ground

• “Bad” ending

- Leave with Kazuma in the Egg Corridor

• “Good” ending

- Complete the Sacred Grounds area

Game Modes

To unlock these modes in the UPDATED VERSION you must perform the actions below. They are already unlocked in the original version.

• Boss Attack, Sanctuary Time Attack

- Beat the Sanctuary in Story Mode

• Curly Story

- Defeat Curly in Story Mode
