Alternate Endings

Perform the actions below to unlock different endings.

• “Normal” ending

After defeat the final boss, complete the escape sequence instead going through the Sacred Grounds.

• “Bad” ending

In the Egg Corridor, leave with Kazuma

• “Good” ending

Complete the Sacred Grounds area

Cave Story: Doukutsu Monogatari Hints:

Early Jet Pack

If you jump and shot with your level 3 Machine Gun downward, you’ll float up just like use a “jet pack”.

Cave Story Strongest Weapon

After you defeated Curly in the Sand Zone, DO NOT trading your Polar Star for the machine gun. Instead you can trade it for “Spur” (The strongest weapon in this game) later.

Cave Story: Doukutsu Monogatari Easter Egg:

Chaco’s Lipstick

After you’ve talked with Chaco about the Jellyfish Juice, rest in her bed. You’ll wake up with Chaco in it and her lipstick in your inventory.
