Unlimited Money
Use your Zen Garden to get unlimited money. When you get a new seed, water it until they don’t need anything else. Then change the date on your PC to another day. After that, go back to your Zen Garden, the plants will need water again. After they grow to full size, sell, buy or search for new plants and repeat to earn more money.
You can also use this strategy to get unlimited marigold stock in Crazy Dave’s shop. Fill up your Zen Garden and use Stinky the Snail to collect the money.

- daisies – Zombies leave small daisies behind when killed
Hint: Switch Locked Seeds
If you being stuck with the crappy cards Carzy Daves, just exit the game and restart it and the 3 cards will be changed to something else.

Play Slot Machine for Extra Coins and Diamonds
When you play slot machine in mini game mode, you can try your luck to get extra coins and diamonds. First set up your defense, try to plant two row walnuts on the right side and sunflower on the left side, and fill everything else with pea and snowpea shooters.
After that, collect the sun until around 1900 sun points. Then try your luck by keep the slot machine spinning. Keep patience and it will randomly drop one or three gems –it’s really really depend on your luck, so keep patience to spinning the slot machine J.
If the zombies getting closer to the mowe, finish the game with collect the sun lying on the game. Remember a mowe are worth a Gold Coin in the end of the game.
Hint: Milking Walnut Bowling for coins
Here’s how to make Walnut Bowling more profitable:
1) Protect the Lawnmowers — Each Mower is worth one gold coin ($50).
2) Line up shots off the front runner. After the first zombie is hit, each additional zombie strike generates coins.
3) Create a front runner where none exists! Pole vaulting zombies run fast until they vault over a nut, and the newspaper zombie runs fast after getting the paper destroyed by a nut. Just let them run a little bit down the lawn before sending a nut their way.
4) Just because you have nuts does not mean you have to use them. This is where “Nerves of Steel” comes into play. When there are a few zombies ambling down the lawn without a clear ricochet shot, wait a little bit to see if more of their friends will step out to play. They can always be killed once they cross the red line.
5) Remember how many nuts it takes to kill a zombie; this is important when the cross the red line. Use one nut for regular zombies, three for bucket wearing zombies, and two for the rest.
6) Reserve the exploding nuts. Try not to use those nuts unless a mob crosses the line, or there are not enough nuts or room to clear out a hard to kill zombie. Use the regular walnuts for the zombies that have not reached the red line.
7) Don’t use exploding nuts to kill pole vaulting zombies directly. Pole vaulting zombies only jump obstacles in their own lane. A pole vaulting zombie who has not vaulted yet will safely jump over explosions or nuts in their own lane; so find a neighbor in the next lane and time the nut to hit when the pole vaulting zombie gets close to the neighbor.

Play “Seeing Stars” mini-game and use lots of Pumpkins and fill all but ONE star, then put marigolds behind (and a Gold magnet). you’ll get lots of money.
Play Last stand and fill it like this, with just FOUR gloom-shrooms, 4 Magnets, 2 gold magnets, 2 Garlic, 6 pumpkins, and 34 mairgolds. You’ll get NO LESS THAN $10,000 each time!!!

There you go, $10,000 everytime! fastest way to do it! (you have to replace the Garlic sometimes, and the 4 marigolds in the pool all the way to the left will need to be placed after the 1st and 2nd level when you’ve been awarded extra sun to spend. The four magnets you have will pull away all buckets, football helmets, and bombs. And if you want super protection, after the 2nd round, put a Pumpkin on the first marigold in the 1st and 6th row on the right side. I’ve played it like this about 30+ times and its never failed. I never die and always get $10,000

? “Last Stand”: Easy completion
You must have at least eight slots of seed before starting. Choose the following plants: Repeaters, Gatling Peas, Tall Nuts, Tangle Kelps, Lily Pads, Torchwoods, Coffee Beans, and Magnet-Shrooms, After you pick them up, set up the following layout. Put two Repeaters from the back columns on every row (except the pool). Put only one Repeater on the back columns on every pool row (use Lily Pads first). Change the Repeaters on the pool to become Gatling Peas Put Torchwoods in front of the Repeaters and Gatling Peas (on the pool use Lily Pads first). Then, give the space a column and plant the Magnet-Shrooms on the lawn only. Wake them up with Coffee Beans. In front of the Magnet-Shrooms on the lawn, plant the Tall Nuts. Note: Plant the Tangle Kelps on the last time. The layout should appear as follows.

? Defeating the final Boss
The final Boss will launch massive fire balls and ice balls at your plants. They will crush everything in their path except for zombies (basically, all plants in that row). To destroy the ice ball, use a Chili Pepper in that row. To destroy the fire ball, use an Ice Shroom, but also with a Coffee Bean or else it will fall asleep.

Protect the lawn mowers. Each is worth a Gold Coin at the end of the game; do not let them mow the zombies. Stop collecting sun at about 1,900 sun points. At this point, the garden should be full; getting the extra 100 points to win should be easy. Just collect enough sun to offset the slot machine. Keep the slot machine spinning. It will randomly drop one or three gems as long your patience lasts. If the zombies get close to the mowers, end the game. Just collect the sun lying on the field to end the game.
