Below is the cheats and hints for the Pokemon Heartgold on Nintendo DS (NDS).
Pokemon Heartgold Hint:
Rematch with Legendary Pokemon
You could rematch with a legendary pokemon that you accidently killed when you try to
cacth it. You need to battle with Elite Four again and beat them. After that the legendary
pokemon will be back to alive and roaming again.
Change the Time and Day
If you want to catch pokemon at on certain days (like Monday, Wednesday and Friday for
contest) or at night just change the DS clock time.
Poke Points
You can buy certain items in the shop using the points from the Pokeathalon. These change
from day to day, so look for elemental stones and rare candies in the shop (and you can
use the DS calendar options to change the day of the week).
Trainer Card Color
You must to completed the task in any order for stars: Beat the Elite Four; Defeat Red;
Win 100 consecutive battles in Battle Tower; Show Hibiki 5 Gold Leaf pokemon; Capture all
493 Pokemon (does not include event-only pokemon).
The number stars you have determines your Trainer Card color.
- Red Card – Default
- Blue Card – Obtain 1 star
- Bronze Card – Obtain 2 stars
- Silver Card – Obtain 3 stars
- Gold Card – Obtain 4 stars
- Black Card – Obtain all 5 stars

Listed below are each of the Legendary Pokemon available in Heart Gold, as are the levels
that you will encounter them at in the wild:
Lugia (Lv. 70)
Visit the Whirl Islands after obtaining the Silver Feather
Ho-Oh (Lv. 45)
Climb to the top of Tin Tower with the Gold Feather
Suicune (Lv. 40)
Complete the Eusine subplot and battle Suicune one final time on Route 25
Raikou (Lv. 40)
Roams Johto after you enter the basement of the Brass Tower
Entei (Lv. 40)
Roams Johto after you enter the basement of the Brass Tower
Latias (Lv. 35)
After you have acquired the National Pokédex and have exited the Pokemon Fan Club, Steve
Stone will tell you Latias has been sighted in Johto
Latios (Lv. 35)
After you have acquired the National Pokédex and have exited the Pokemon Fan Club, Steve
Stone will tell you Latios has been sighted in Johto
Palkia (Lv. 1)
Complete the Arceus event subplot
Dialga (Lv. 1)
Complete the Arceus event subplot
Giratina (Lv. 1)
Complete the Arceus event subplot
Rayquaza (Lv. 50)
Have both Groudon and Kyogre in your party, then return to the Hidden Tower with the Green
Orb in tow
Kyogre (Lv. 50)
Visit the Hidden Tower with the Blue Orb in tow
Mewtwo (Lv. 70)
Found inside Cerulean Cave after all 16 badges have been obtained
Zapdos (Lv. 50)
Found outside the Power Plant after all 16 badges have been obtained
Moltres (Lv. 50)
Found within Silver Cave after all 16 badges have been obtained
Articuno (Lv. 50)
Found in the Seafoam Islands after all 16 badges have been obtained
Battle Lv. 1 Dialga, Giratina, or Palkia
Trading the special Movie 12 Arceus over to a Pokemon Heart Gold version game card, and
taking it to the Shinto Ruins, will unlock a subplot involving the Alpha Pokemon and the
Unown.
After watching the brief cutscene, you will be given the option of battling one of three
legendary Pokemon. All three Pokemon will appear at level 1, and will know a unique attack
that they wouldn’t normally know at that level.
The Pokemon are as follows:
Unlockable
Dialga (knows Metal Burst)
After the Arceus event finishes, when prompted choose ‘Dialga’
Giratina (knows Shadow Sneak)
After the Arceus event finishes, when prompted choose ‘Giratina’
Palkia (knows Hydro Pump)
After the Arceus event finishes, when prompted choose ‘Palkia’

National Pokédex
Complete the Johto Pokédex then talk to Professor Elm to unlock the National Pokédex.
